We've been alluding to some changes that will be coming along this year, and some of you have guessed it! Starting with the March 2018 box, Sundae Home is going bi-monthly! This decision was not made lightly and the reason is two-fold. First, this was the number one most requested suggestion from our favorite people: YOU - our subscribers! A lot of our subscribers expressed that they loved our curation of products, but were concerned that they were getting items too frequently and would prefer a bi-monthly option. Second, as we've grown month after month, and we've had to order larger and larger quantities of products from our vendors, it has taken more time to acquire the products. We always curate to what's in season and on trend, but our vendors need time to process those orders in the quantities that we need, then ship and deliver those products to us (typically by carrier freight on pallets across the country), and then we get the items into fulfillment to send to you. That also does not take into account any unexpected delays like weather or customs. We are hoping that with a bi-monthly schedule, these issues will no longer be a problem, and we can get back to doing what we do best - bringing you the best fresh, modern and contemporary premium brand home decor, housewares and accessory items straight to your home sweet home, stress free and on time!
What does this mean for our subscribers? In mid-March, we will be transitioning everyone to our new platform. Monthly subscription members will only be billed every other month. Our 3-month and 6-month subscription members will have their subscriptions extended by how many boxes are remaining. For our paypal subscribers, you will receive a new link to renew on the new schedule. For our direct subscribers, we are working with our programmers to see if we can transition your order over seamlessly (as this was not anticipated from start, the functionality was not built in, but we are hopeful this can be done). One of the additional benefits of the new platform will be that all our subscribers will be able to self-service their accounts. No more emailing us to change addresses, credit cards, etc. It will all be available on the site. More details to come!!
Since we are only sending out 6 boxes per year, this also gives us an opportunity to possibly offer other requested items from our subscribers like a limited edition box once or twice a year, as well as pop-up sales a few times a year. What exactly will our new schedule look like? Here is what we are anticipating with exact shipping dates to be announced:
March|April = order February 1st to March 31st, ships out late March to early April
May|June = order April 1st to May 31st, ships out late May to early June
July|August = order June 1st to July 31st, ships out late July to early August
September|October = order August 1st to September 30th, ships out late September to early October
November|December = order October 1st to November 30th, ships out late November to early December
January|February = order December 1st to January 31st, ships out late January to early February
