Thanksgiving is less than a week away! I’m sure many of you spent the weekend planning recipes, making lists, and grocery shopping for your Thanksgiving home! Whether you plan on hosting a dozen, or are cooking for two, our Autumn box can lend a hand with your feast!
Make your guests feel special by including a name card, or gift on their plate. Mini pumpkins are a great gift that will add a touch of harvest color to your tablescape. Highlight dinner plates by placing a charger underneath (it also makes a great place to rest silverware so your linens stay clean). Cranberry linens pair well with red wine, and cranberry-filled votives, for a cohesive color scheme.
For small, intimate dinners, keep your table décor minimal by adding small groupings of fresh flowers or bulbs (I found these paper-whites on a recent shopping trip!) Scatter candles, among pumpkin décor, like our cute Darice Twig Pumpkin, for a simple, inviting look. Tea candles look great in white tea cups (from our East-Meets-West box) lined with fresh cranberries. For larger settings, line your table in multiple clusters of flowers and candles, and tuck garlands and pumpkins in-between.
While the turkey is in the oven, give your guests something to nibble on. The Natural Home Cheese Tray will make quick work of your pre-dinner snacks. Not only does it slice cheese with ease, it also makes a great serving piece that can go straight from the kitchen to the table.
Bake up a Brie en Croûte in the Staub Pumpkin Cocotte and you will be asked to host Thanksgiving again next year. This little baker is not only great looking, it’s also a quality piece that I’m going to be sad to have to tuck away after Thanksgiving. It’s a great serving vessel for dips, and soups as well!
However you celebrate Thanksgiving in your home, we would like to extend warm wishes for a Safe and Happy Holiday from our Sundae Home to yours!
